Wins American Inhouse Design Awards for the Seventh Consecutive Year

The 2015-16 edition of the Promethean, the award-winning County College of Morris (CCM) student art and literary magazine, has been selected as a winner by Graphic Design USA, an international monthly trade publication, in its 2017 American Inhouse Design Awards contest.

The American Inhouse Design Awards is the largest showcase for original work created by in-house designers. Typically, in-house design groups produce materials such as self-promotion items, publications, invitations, signage and websites.

About 5,000 entries were submitted and 15 percent of the entries were selected for recognition by the panel of judges. The Promethean was judged against work produced by professional designers, as there are no student-only categories.

This is the seventh year in a row that the Promethean has received the award.

“This is a wonderful accomplishment that demonstrates the exceptional job of our students and their faculty advisor, Professor Kathleen McNeil,” said Dr. Anthony J. Iacono, CCM president. “I wish them the best for continued success.”

“I am truly honored to be a part of this project,” said McNeil. “It is a showcase for the best that CCM has to offer.”

The 2015-2016 CCM student staff was made up of graphic design students Jacobo Aristizabel, of Whippany; Elizabeth Comings, of Denville; Sabine Formanek, of Basking Ridge; Alexandra Paterson, of Mount Tabor; and Sandra Stites, of Randolph.
