Who Should Apply to Horizons?

While Horizons serves a large and diverse group of students at County College of Morris, this program is not appropriate for everyone.

Horizons is for students with documented learning disabilities. Typically, a student will have had a classification of Specific Learning Disability (SLD) while in high school.
    Students must also be:

  • Highly motivated and willing to make a commitment to college study
  • Of average or above average intelligence
  • College-able with demonstrated areas of strength
If you fit the description above, the first step is to attend an Information Meeting.

Application Timeline

  • Horizons application deadline:
    • Fall semester -- April 15th
    • Spring semester -- November 15th
  • Placement tests should be taken as soon as possible -- preferably by May 15th for Fall enrollment
