Job Search Assistance

 
  • A Job Development Specialist is available in the Office of Career Services (see hours below) to assist current students in person with questions about locating undergraduate jobs. If you are unable to visit during these hours, you may communicate by e-mail. If you e-mail, please include as much as possible of the following: a resume or draft of a resume, your preferred means of contact, the type of job you are looking for, and any specific questions you may have.  
              Monday:  9:30 am - 2:30 pm
              Tuesday:  8:30 am  - 1:00 pm
              Wednesday:  8:30 am  - 1:00 pm 
     
  • Job Listings
    Positions posted by area employers are viewable to students on-line as well as in the Career Services office. Visit our office to request a password, or complete our on-line registration form.

     
  • Resume Critique
    You are welcome to drop off or email your resume and request that it be reviewed.  
    • A publication to assist you in creating your resume, The Resume, is available on-line or in the Office of Career Services.
    • Optimal Resume, an online system to help you create your resume, is available to CCM students and alumni.  Access code for students: earth 
       
  • Interview Practice
    If you have an upcoming interview and feel less than confident, let us help.
    • A publication to assist you in preparing for an interview, The Interview, is available on-line or in the Office of Career Services.
    • Optimal Interview, an interacitve online system to practice your interviewing skills, is available to CCM students and alumni. You can record and save practice interviews, as well as get tips on how to answer interview questions.  Access code for students: earth 
    • A face-to-face practice interview is also available by appointment.
       
  • Employment Resources and Career Research Tools 
    A collection of web research tools and job listings sites.
     
  • General Employment Counseling
    Individual counseling is available, by appointment, to assist current students and near graduates as they address individual employment issues such as job search skills and interviewing techniques.  Please call 973-328-5245 or stop in to make an appointment.
