Dwight L. Smith, III, Ed.D. Vice President for Academic Affairs County College of Morris Dr. Dwight Smith is Vice President of Academic Affairs at the County College of Morris. Previously, Dr. Smith served in academic leadership roles at Miami Dade College, St. Louis Community College, and Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. Dr. Smith’s doctorate is in Educational Psychology from Rutgers University and during his doctoral studies he served as Associate Dean of Students at Rutgers College. As a member of the Academic Affairs Affinity Group, Dr. Smith serves as chair of the General Education Committee. In 2010, Dr. Smith was co-author of a chapter in the Association of American Colleges and Universities’ publication, General Education and Liberal Learning: Principles of Effective Practice. He also provides service to the Middle States and Higher Learning Commission regional accreditation agencies.
