A Hospitality Management Career Certificate Option
This certificate program is designed to fulfill the needs of a student working in the hospitality field, either as preliminary training to the career or as continuing education within the industry. The coursework provides basic skills and training in the many areas of Food Safety, Production and Management.
This certificate program is designed to fulfill the needs of an individual interested in learning more about the field and practices of Culinary Arts. The courses provide a framework to further studies or an entry level position in a food production environment. The coursework provides basic skills and training in the areas of stocks and sauces, soups, meats, poultry, seafood, vegetables, and other areas of food production. The management concerns of food cost and proper cost controls are also emphasized as a part of the classroom work. In addition, certification in the Serv-Safe food handling system and Nutrition can be obtained as a part of the studies.
