Division of Health and Natural Sciences

Dean Joan CunninghamWelcome to the Division of Health and Natural Sciences. We are a dynamic student-centered learning community dedicated to helping you achieve your educational goals. The Division provides unique learning environments for traditional and non-traditional students in the areas of biology, biotechnology, chemistry, chemical technology/environmental science, exercise science, dance, landscape and horticultural technology, nursing, personal trainer, radiography, respiratory therapy and teacher education specializations in biology, chemistry and exercise science. These innovative degree programs incorporate traditional face-to-face teaching methods, hybrid instruction (both in class and online), as well as online distance learning technology.

Our programs are challenging and structured to recognize the needs of all the students. Our departments emphasize independent student learning and the development of critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Faculty maintain the highest standards of teaching whether in the classroom, laboratory or clinical setting and will share with you the enthusiasm they have for their disciplines. Our programs will prepare you for a variety of professional opportunities in each of the disciplines, as well as serve as transfer programs for careers that require additional scientific and healthcare backgrounds.

The College is currently expanding the Biology, Chemistry, and Nursing Laboratories, which will create state-of-the-art learning environments. Renovations are also underway for the Agricultural Technology Building, which houses one of the top six outstanding post-secondary agriculture programs in the United States.

Please take some time to explore our site and learn more about the Division of Health and Natural Sciences and its limitless opportunities for you!

Sincerely,

Joan M. Cunningham, M.A., R.N.
