As a respected and accomplished leader, Dean Cunningham oversees the talented faculty and staff of the Division of Health and Natural Sciences and upholds the high standards of instruction within the division. A registered nurse by profession, she began her career at CCM in 1976 as a faculty member of the Department of Nursing and later became its Chairperson.


Dean Cunningham is a member of the American Nurses Association and the New Jersey State Nurses Association. She also served as the Vice President of the New Jersey Council of Associate Degree Nursing Programs. She has received the college’s Vice President of Academic Affairs Award for Academic Excellence. She is a past recipient of the NISOD Award for Teaching Excellence, which is sponsored by the University of Texas at Austin and the New Jersey Board of Nursing 100th Celebration Award for recognition of her service to the State of New Jersey as a Nursing Education Executive. Dean Cunningham is also a contributing author to several psychiatric nursing textbooks.


In addition to her experience as an administrator, Dean Cunningham continues to play a crucial role in the introduction and continuation of all the academic programs and the development and implementation of the college’s strategic plan for the future.
