Welcome to the CCM Nursing Department! You have chosen one of the most trusted professions where science and the art of caring are cornerstones of day-to-day nursing practice. Our Nursing Program offers a balance of general education and nursing courses leading to an Associate in Applied Science Degree. It prepares men and women for employment as registered nurses in a variety of healthcare settings including acute care hospitals, rehabilitation centers, long-term care facilities, clinics, and community health. Our graduates are successfully employed in many specialties of nursing including medical-surgical, critical care, emergency care, obstetrics, pediatrics, psychiatry and other highly specialized nursing fields. Many of our alumni are managers, educators, and clinical coordinators in health care facilities in the northern New Jersey area.
Our Nursing Program is accredited by New Jersey Board of Nursing and the National League of Nursing Accrediting Commission. These accreditations qualify graduates to sit for the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN).
CCM credits from the Nursing Program are readily transferable toward a four-year nursing degree (BSN) at many state and private colleges and universities. We currently have articulation agreements with The College of St. Elizabeth and Rutgers University.
You will benefit from the expertise of our faculty. Many are advanced practice nurses and are certified in their clinical specialties and in nursing education. Our newly renovated nursing laboratories are equipped with human patient simulators and state-of-the art equipment. Day and evening tracks are available to accommodate your needs. Several area hospitals and long-term care facilities serve as sites for your clinical experience.
Come join our nursing program where excellence and compassion intersect.
