Professor Braun has been a registered nurse for over 30 years, with experience in a variety of adult health settings, including critical care, home care, and cardiac rehabilitation. For the last 15 years, she has had the privilege of teaching RN students in a diploma-school program, in areas such as medical-surgical nursing, psychiatric nursing, and community nursing. During her time at the diploma school, she also participated in staff development activities, informal studies in the classroom, and consultation activities. Before coming to CCM full-time, she was an adjunct clinical instructor here in psychiatric nursing.
Professor Braun is a member of Sigma Theta Tau Honor Society for Nursing. She has participated in research on patient learning needs, volunteered in various capacities at the Sussex County Red Cross, and worked per diem in a variety of interesting settings. In the past year, she has enjoyed volunteering with the Sussex County Medical Reserve Corps. Recently, she achieved Certified Nurse Educator status.
