Professor Cross has been a registered nurse since 1982 in a variety of clinical settings with a primary focus in critical care and neuroscience nursing. Professor Cross started her professional career at Ohio State University Hospital before moving to New Jersey in 1988. She has since been involved with the Atlantic Neuroscience Institute for many years.

Professor Cross enjoys her involvement in the education and mentoring of nursing students at CCM and is proud to be involved in their initial steps in starting their nursing career.

Professor Cross is a certified Advanced Practice Nurse and is also certified in Critical Care Nursing. In 2009 she was awarded the Humanism in Healthcare Award in the state of New Jersey.
