The following is a step-by-step description that all degree-seeking applicants must go through in order to attend CCM. The process for students not seeking a degree, including visiting Summer & Winterim students, can be found here.
New Student Enrollment Process
- Complete your Admissions application online.
- Submit the following items:
- Final High School transcript, copy of GED, or Home School Verification.
- Students that have earned a college degree may submit their college transcript in lieu of their high school transcript and for testing exemptions.
- Official college transcripts – if you attended another college and wish to transfer credit
- Testing exemptions should be emailed to admiss@ccm.edu and include the following:
- NEW SAT: If you scored 560 or higher for Math and 590 or higher for Evidence Based Reading and Writing on the new SAT.
- OLD SAT: If you scored 530 or higher for Math and 540 or higher for Critical reading on the old SAT.
- ACT: If you scored 23 or higher for Math and 23 or higher for English on the ACT.
- NJSLA/PARCC: If you scored a 4 or 5 on the 11th grade English Language Arts test and a 4 or 5 on the Algebra 2 test.
- Based on a review of recent high school coursework on your transcript.
- If you have earned credit for college level English Composition and Mathematics courses or have completed developmental courses at another regionally accredited college.
- Final High School transcript, copy of GED, or Home School Verification.
- ** Any test scores or college-level math or science classes older than 7 years will not qualify for an exemption.
- Submit the following items:
- Receive your Acceptance email
- Apply for Financial Aid – Information about our Financial Aid process can be found here.
- Take you Placement Test – if needed. More information can be found here.
- Attend a New Student Advising and Registration Session– be sure to check your email for your invitation.
- Join us for New Student Orientation.
- Start your classes!
