Bursar is a term unique to higher education and is defined as a senior professional, financial administrator in a college or university. The word Bursar is derived from the Latin word “Bursa” meaning “purse”. So as can be reasoned, our office is responsible for the billing and collection of tuition, fees and other college charges.
