Customized Training

Who We Are

The Center for Business & Technology at CCM welcomes you to explore the many ways we can educate your employees at any level.  In 2003 the State of New Jersey designated community colleges as the primary providers of workforce training in the state.  County College of Morris through the Center for Business & Technology, has offered such training for all types of business since 1994.  We feel that an investment by business and industry in continuous learning and training strategically positions its workforce for regional economic development and growth.  With this focus, upgrading the current skills and retraining the workforce in the greater Morris County area remains the primary objective of the Center for Business & Technology.

What We Do

The target population we strive to serve includes small, medium and large businesses.  All of your training programs are customized to meet the specific needs of a company.  Training plans can include a customized program design or modification of existing course offerings, to meet specific organizational needs and goals.  We can be a valued resource in identifying potential grant funding opportunities.  Such funding can assist in reducing the cost of training or provide additional benefits.  Whether it is a single course or an intensive training program, the Center for Business & Technology can help you fulfill your training requirements.

New Jersey Training Grants

The State of New Jersey helps qualified businesses improve employee skills through on-the-job and classroom training. The Department of Labor (DOL) awards up to $25 million dollars annually for employee training as part of the Workforce Development Partnership. Working in collaboration with the DOL, we can identify available grant monies to address your training needs. Grant funding can be used for many types of training programs including development of literacy skills, soft skills, leadership management, computer skills, technical and manufacturing-related skills to name a few.

The professional staff at CCM’s Center for Business & Technology can help you translate a yearlong training program into an approved Training Grant application. Grant applications are completed on-line and the process is streamlined. We can assist you in completing the application preparations and provide liaison support in working with the DOL staff. Our grant writing service is provided at no cost to your business. To get started, please call us at 973-328-5188 or email us at cbt@ccm.edu.
