Mission

The Office of Campus Life is committed to complementing the academic program and to enhancing the overall educational experience of students through exposure to and participation in diverse programs, activities and student organizations.

Philosophy

CCM believes that social, cultural, governance, athletic, and recreational activities are an integral part of a student's total educational experience.

The Office of Campus Life staff, together with student leaders, administrators and faculty members, strives to make the campus life program one which complements the academic program and that enhances the overall educational experience through exposure to and participation in a wide variety of activities and programs.

CCM offers opportunities for students to participate in a diversified college program of co-curricular and extracurricular activities, athletics, performing arts productions, excursions, field trips, programs and events. Involvement in these programs can lead to success in many areas of life both during and after one's term as a County College of Morris student.

For the student, active involvement brings the obvious benefits of peer contact, productivity and meaningful leisure time. But in addition to that, students participating in activities, mass media organizations (such as WCCM Radio, The Promethean, the student newspaper), performing arts productions, student clubs and organizations also gain the opportunity for practical application of their classroom skills to a working project and the experience that can round out their resumes.

For the County College of Morris graduate, a record of involvement in campus life is of proven interest to employers. The personal contacts one makes when active in these programs may serve as the foundation for lifetime friendships and networking sources.

These activities offer challenges and opportunities for students to develop to their highest potential as individuals and as responsible members of the college community and of society. The Office of Campus Life also offers many services to the campus community which enhance the overall CCM experience.
