Monday, December 1 - PTK Honors Satellite Seminar Series: "The Paradox of Affluence: Choices, Challenges, and Consequences." Topic: Archaeological Evidence for the Origins of Affluence. Presenter: Dr, Michael Galaty, Professor of Anthropology at Millsaps College in Mississippi. All are invited to attend this last of four PTK satellite seminars. Time: 6:30 p.m. Location: Student Center, Davidson Room B.

Tuesday, December 2 (re-scheduled from October 28) - PTK Honors Satellite Seminar Series: "The Paradox of Affluence: Choices, Challenges, and Consequences." Topic: Pathways Out of Poverty through Green Collar Jobs. Presenter: Dr. Raquel Pinderhughes, Professor of Urban Studies at San Francisco State University. Wednesday, December 3 - "CLU: Campus Life Update" is published and distributed on campus.

Wednesday, December 3 - CCM Employee Holiday Marketplace. CCM faculty/staff members sell their wares at the annual marketplace: crafts, handmade items, baked goods and more. Get a head start on your holiday shopping. A wide variety of items will be available for sale. Time: 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. Location: Student Center's Lounge.

Wednesday, December 3 - "Hired Hands" Jazz Ensemble Performance. Time: 4:00 p.m. Location: Student Center Cafeteria.

Thursday, December 4 - "40 Years of Financial History, As Seen Through the Lens of the Last 40 Days." Speaker: Peter V. Mancuso. Mr.  Mancuso is a retired Governor of the New York Stock Exchange and was a member of the Exchange from 1968–2006. He has provided financial advice on CNNFM, CNBC, PBS, and ABC Radio. Join Mr. Mancuso as he discusses and reviews the recent roller coaster events of the market, puts them in perspective and context, and compares them to similar periods in our financial history. Time: 11:30 a.m. - 12:45 p.m. Location: Student Center Davidson Room. Admission is free.

Thursday, December 4 - CCM's Educational Opportunity Fund Program's "Kwanzaa Ceremony and Holiday Celebration." Ceremony - Buffet - Holiday Spirit - Fellowship.  Time: 2:30 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. Location: Student Center Davidson Room D.

Thursday, December 4 "Toy-for-Tots Benefit Dinner." Please bring a new, unwrapped toy for discounted admission to the dinner: Tickets: $15, but only $10 with new toy. There will be a DJ, a raffle, dancing and, of course, delicious foodTime: 6 p.m. - 10 p.m. Location: Student Center's Davidson Room.   Thursday, December 4 - CCM Holiday Bowling Tournament. This tourney is open to all CCM students: full-time and part-time. Prizes for the winners. Winners are eligible to participate in the ACUI Regional Tournament in February 2009. Time: 9:00 p.m. Location: Circle Lanes, Ledgewood. Friday, December 5 – Planetarium Show:  A Holiday Under the Stars. In this program we’ll explore the night sky as it appeared thousands of years ago, and discuss how it relates to the season from the perspective of cultures all over the world. Time: 7:30 p.m.

Sunday, December 7 - CCM's Annual Bus Trip to Radio City Music Hall's Christmas Spectacular. Bus Leaves CCM at 2 p.m. for 5:30 p.m. show. Price: $55 CCM Students and $60 Guests.  Price includes chartered round-trip bus transportation and second mezzanine seat ticket (tickets go on sale November 10). Monday, December 8 - Mandatory Meeting for those participants going on the CCM Ski and Snowboard Trip to Lake Placid, NY and Whiteface Mountain, Sunday, January 11 - Thursday, January 15, 2009. Time: 11:30 a.m. Location: Sheffield Hall Room A-132. If you are going on this trip, you MUST attend this brief meeting. Important trip details will be discussed at this meeting.

Thursday and Friday, December 18 and 19 - The Dance Department will present an informal concert featuring choreographed pieces by students enrolled in Dance and Dance Theatre Classes. Some will be 'works in progress', while others will be completed.
