Topic: Archaeological Evidence for the Origins of Affluence. Presenter: Dr, Michael Galaty, Professor of Anthropology at Millsaps College in Mississippi. CCM faculty/staff members sell their wares at the annual marketplace: crafts, handmade items, baked goods and more. Get a head start on your holiday shopping. A wide variety of items will be available for sale. Time: 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. Location: Student Center's Lounge. Wednesday, December 3 - "Hired Hands" Jazz Ensemble Performance. Time: 4:00 p.m. Location: Student Center Cafeteria. Thursday, December 4 - "40 Years of Financial History, As Seen Through the Lens of the Last 40 Days." Speaker: Peter V. Mancuso. Mr. Mancuso is a retired Governor of the New York Stock Exchange and was a member of the Exchange from 1968–2006. He has provided financial advice on CNNFM, CNBC, PBS, and ABC Radio. Join Mr. Mancuso as he discusses and reviews the recent roller coaster events of the market, puts them in perspective and context, and compares them to similar periods in our financial history.
