JOBMATCH PROGRAM

Now that you've graduated... let us help you look for a job.

This service offers you access to career listings from area employers, a resume critique, the option to have your resume posted to our web site, and access to employment counselors who can provide job search and interview advice. To register, you must be within one semester of graduation or a graduate of County College of Morris.  Graduates from other colleges will be eligible if they have completed a minimum of 32 credits at County College of Morris.

How to Register

The graduate is asked to complete a registration form and submit a resume. The registration for can be obtained in the Office of Career Services, or printed here.  (Adobe Acrobat required)

The Job Match Service

Employers provide information about available job opportunities to the Office of Career Services. New openings are with the Office of Career Services as well as advertised on-line, accessible by alumni who are registered for JobMatch.

Resumes are reviewed by an office professional and changes recommended which are thought to improve the resume's usefulness in the job search.

Graduate resumes can be posted on the office's online resume site. CCM's website is a public site, and therefore will be accessible by the public. Users may choose to post limited contact information.

Individual employment concerns can be discussed one-on-one with a counselor by appointment.

Please note

Graduates are encouraged to develop strong cover letters to accompany their resumes and to send them in the manner requested by the employer.

Office staff may also forward a resume to an employer on behalf of a registrant at their consent. The employer generally contacts the job seeker directly, so it is strongly recommended that an e-mail address be included on your resume as well as a professional message left on the answering machine connected to your contact phone number.

Graduates are expected to demonstrate a personal commitment to the job search as well as notifying the office once employment has been secured.  Every few months the office will mail a reminder to all JobMatch registrants asking if they wish to continue using the service.  A reply is requested to remain active in the program.
