Associates
in Applied Science (2 Year Degree)
Graduates
of this program are prepared for employment in
the rapidly growing field of
telecommunications. They work in job
activities that involve planning and
monitoring network layouts and installations.
Work may also involve integrating
sophisticated technology into products,
systems and services.
Students may choose between the standard
Telecommunication AAS program (Code 3650) and
a Networking option AAS program (Code 3651).
The department also offers a 7 credit "Basic
Telecommunications Fundamentals" career
certificate and a 12 credit "Systems
Networking" career certificate.
For
students seeking a Bachelors Degree, transfer
is possible to many four year schools having
similar programs. Articulation agreements for
this program allow students to have full
transfer of credits to a number of
institutions, including Rochester Institute of
Technology and the State University of New
York-Rome-Utica.
The
County College of Morris is also offering a
Cisco Certification Program.
