I received an invitation to Commencement. Does this mean I am definitely graduating?

A letter is being sent to all potential May 2014 graduates, January 2014 and August 2013 graduates, and August 2014 candidates who have been approved to participate in the ceremony. The invitation is neither a ticket for admission nor a confirmation of your graduation status. The Office of Records and Registration will officially notify all May graduates by mail (you should receive your letter between May 20 and May 22) as to whether or not you have been certified for graduation. January 2014 and August 2013 graduates should already have received their letters. August 2014 candidates will receive their letters in early September.
