Landscape Management and Design

This degree option requires the completion of 66 credits including courses in Agriculture, Communications, Humanities, Social Science, Math/Science, Health and Wellness, and Business. Some of the occupations students majoring in Landscape Management and Design are preparing to enter include turf management, landscape management, landscape design, and landscape construction. Students may also chose to continue their education at a four year institution and graduates have successfully transferred to Cook College at Rutgers, The University of Maryland, Penn State, University of Southern California, and Colorado State University, among others.


 

Agribusiness

The Agribusiness degree option has been designed for students whose career goals include horticultural business interests such as landscape and garden center sales and floral shops. The primary difference between the Landscape Management and Design option and the Agribusiness option is in the area of landscape design which is only taught in depth in the Landscape Management option. Graduates from the Agribusiness option have also successfully transferred to four institutions around the country. 65 credits are required for the completion of this degree which includes courses in Agriculture, Communications, Humanities, Social Science, Mathematics/Science, Health and Wellness, and Business.


 

Career Certificates

Career Certificates are designed for the student who may already have a degree or who has decided that he or she does not need the degree for career advancement. Each certificate focuses on a particular area within the field of horticulture. Students may chose to earn more than one certificate. Currently there are four different career certificate available:
