Nursing Lab Policies:
Appointments are required for skills
practice, and strongly recommended at all other
times. Walk-in
appointments OK if space available.
Please call the lab if you are not able to make your
appointment, others may be waiting!
In fairness to all students, multiple
appointments for individuals or groups will not be
taken at the same time.
Students must clock in and out
for any independent lab study on the computer located by the entrance to the
lab.
At times it is necessary to track this.
This provides validation to your professors of
your time spent in the lab for study and practice.
Food and drinks are
not permitted. Children
are not allowed in the lab at any time. Behavior
conducive to study is expected and disruptive
students may be asked to leave at the discretion of
the lab coordinators or their designee.
Cardiac Module
for Nursing 3: This assignment is
posted in the Campus Laboratory Student Guide. Students
will need a partner to complete the cardiac rhythm
component in the Nursing Lab. Review of rhythms on Sim Man
will be done in groups.
NCLEX practice test for Nursing 4:
At the end of each clinical rotation, Nursing 4
students take the practice exam on the computer in
the nursing lab. The exam takes about 1 hour. Allow
additional time if you wish to review question
rationale at the end of the test. The nursing lab
coordinator will provide documentation of your score
to be given to your clinical instructor as required.
