The
application procedures for applying to Horizons
and CCM are entirely separate, but they can be carried
out at the same time. PLEASE TAKE NOTE OF HORIZONS TIMELINE.
Applying to Horizons |
- Make appointment to attend scheduled Information
Meeting session

- Submit to Horizons office:
- Horizons application*
- LD documentation*
- Enhanced Avenue only: $25 application fee (made
out to CCM)

- Receive "accommodations" letter for Basic Skills
Placement tests (Accuplacer) from Horizons. Make
sure the letter you respond to lists specific accommodations
for you to use.
Ignore the letter the college sends to all students who
have applied for admission to CCM; it will NOT list any
accommodations.

- **Schedule appointment to take Basic Skills Placement
tests in Horizons office (known on campus as CASE -- Center
for Academic Support & Enrichment)

- After you receive results of Placement Tests, call for
next step.

**It is essential that students with learning
disabilities take the Placement Tests with appropriate academic accommodations.
In order to do so, students must self-identify BEFORE taking the Placement
Tests. The proper procedures must be followed so the Horizons staff can
determine what accommodations are supported by the documentation.
