Chargeback
Chargeback allows students to pursue programs not offered by their "home" county college at another county college that does offer the program. If the program qualifies, you are eligible for a refund of the difference between in-county and out-of-county tuition.
If your home county does not offer an LD support program (beyond what the law requires), then participation in the Enhanced Level program may qualify you for chargeback. Your home county makes the final determination. Please note that each county has its own procedures; you must get the details directly from your county.
Horizons' only role is to supply a "validation" letter. You must submit a "request-for-chargeback validation letter" form, requesting this letter to confirm your active participation and satisfactory progress in the Horizons Enhanced Level program. The form, which contains a more detailed explanation and step-by-step instructions, is available from the CASE office.
