| Question: |

information is confidential and does not appear anywhere on your college
record! |

| Question: |
How do I know if the college is
closed due to inclement weather (snow) or some other reason (holiday)? |

Check the college calendar for
scheduled holidays. Unplanned closings are announced on the radio
(105.5 FM and 1610 AM among others) and on a phone message (973-328-5580).
Delayed openings are also announced on both the radio and recorded
message. |

| Question: |
What do I do if I'm sick or unable
to attend class? |
| Answer:
|
As a courtesy, you should either
call or e-mail your professor. (Make sure you get this information
at the beginning of the semester and keep it handy.) Of course, you
must know their names to do this so make sure you learn each of your
professors' names early in each semester--write it down if you might
forget. You should also get the phone number of someone in your class
to call and find out what you missed. |
|
| Question: |
How many "cuts" am I
allowed? |
| Answer:
|
You should plan to attend every
class. Cutting counts against you, so don't do it! Too many missed
classes can lower your grade. Check your class syllabus for the absence
policy established by your professor. Remember you are paying for
these classes, so missing a class is like throwing away that money. |
