Making TIME MANAGEMENT Work for You

Time Management Checklist

____  2-3 hours of study is scheduled for every class hour.

____  Distractions have been eliminated during study time.

____  Study time is scheduled when it will be most useful and effective (before/after class, best time of day, etc.).

____  Daily review time is planned.

____  Weekly recitation (self-quizzing) is scheduled.

____  Rewards are planned to reinforce difficult study tasks.

____  Waiting time is used to review (including before class).

____  A convenient way has been found to carry quick reference cards for review during "waiting time."

____  A certain time each day has been set aside to check and update weekly/semester planners and "to do" list.

____  Time use is monitored regularly: adjustments are made as needed.

____  Studying is done regularly at certain times -- sometimes, when nothing else seems to motivate us, we do things we would not otherwise do out of habit.
