Tutoring (CASE)

CASE offers tutoring in learning strategies. This tutoring is open to all CCM students who are enrolled in at least one course during the semester for which they are requesting tutoring.

Most tutoring takes the form of "help sessions" conducted by faculty and professional staff in individual or small-group sessions. Sessions are arranged on a week-by-week basis. (Under certain circumstances, semester-long tutoring may be provided.) To request tutoring, the student must submit a Tutoring Request form to the Tutoring Coordinator. This allows the Coordinator to try to match the available tutoring slots to the student's schedule. Tutoring is available starting with the second week of the semester. (Summer session tutoring begins the first week.)

It is important that students report promptly at the assigned time for tutoring. Students must notify CASE if an emergency necessitates an absence. Two unexcused absences from tutoring will result in loss of tutoring privileges; a student on the waiting list will be placed in the newly-opened slot.

Students who cannot be accommodated within CASE's tutoring structure will be referred to other on-campus tutoring.
