Faculty members are encouraged to participate in the library's collection development. Interested faculty are welcome to contact the library and make recommendations for obtaining materials.
The library maintains a reserve collection which is located behind the circulation desk in the lobby. Faculty members may request that materials for specific course assignments be kept in the reserve collection for students to borrow on an hourly, daily, or semester basis. The VALE Faculty Reciprocal Borrowing Program enables faculty to borrow materials from participating New Jersey college and university libraries by going directly to their campuses.
Information Literacy instruction by a reference librarian is available for faculty to use as part of their course. Librarians will teach students how to research and use the library and its resources. Faculty members are requested to book a date at least two weeks in advance to bring their class to the BI Room in the LRC for instruction. Please use the Instruction Request Form to book your class.
