GENERAL INFORMATION

Foundation Center: A gateway to a wide range of resources for grantmakers, grantseekers, researchers, policymakers, and the general public. Topics include: About the Center, Libraries and Locations, Online Library, Training and Seminars, Grantmaker information, Funding Trends and Analysis, Philanthropy News Digest, and Publications & CD-ROMs.

Foundation Directory Online:  A fully-indexed database to find current and comprehensive information on U.S. grantmakers and their grants.

TCGI: The Grantsmanship Center: Includes information on grantsmanship training, fundraising training, list of grantmaking foundations, mailing lists and newsgroups, and the day's Federal Register grant announcements.

Idealist/Action Without Borders: A source for finding nonprofits through a Nonprofit Locator service with access to over a million groups. This site includes information on setting up home pages and provides links to other sources. It also includes a bibliography.

Council on Foundations: A membership association of grantmaking foundations and corporations which provides a variety of services to its members. Links to many useful sites are also included.

National Council of Nonprofit Associations: A support center network for nonprofit organizations providing links to member organizations.

Guidestar: Contains full-text stories on nonprofits, philanthropy and fundraising.

Internet Prospector: In addition to a monthly newsletter, it includes tips on web-based prospect research and more.

NonProfit Times:  Finds the top news stories of the month and also links to other nonprofit web sites, including the University of Michigan site. Previous months' stories can also be viewed.

PNN Online: Published by the Philanthropy News Network, this site provides news about philanthropy and the nonprofit sector. It provides links to foundations and other resources.

The Philanthropy News Digest: The Foundation Center of New York publishes this electronic version of weekly summaries of articles that have appeared in major news sources.

Alliance for Nonprofit Management: An online newsletter put out by the Alliance for Nonprofit Management, which was formed by the merger of the Support Centers of America and the Nonprofit Management Association. This site includes a list of frequently asked questions on various issues of fundraising.
