INTERLIBRARY LOAN
The Interlibrary loan service is provided to CCM students, faculty, staff, and alumni only. It allows patrons to request library materials that are not available in the CCM library.  Access to many materials collected by libraries in the United States are available through this service.  Patrons must have a valid CCM library card to use the Interlibrary Loan service.
COST

At the present time, interlibrary loan and document delivery services are provided to members of the CCM community free of charge.

BORROWING POLICIES

The library will make every effort to fill requests for all types of materials (books, journal articles, etc).  However, many libraries will ordinarily not lend the following types of materials:

     - Audiovisual materials (films, DVDs, videos, CDs, etc.)

     - Bulky or fragile items that are difficult or expensive to ship

     - Materials with local circulation restrictions (reference books, etc.)

     - Rare materials, including manuscripts

     - Unique material that would be difficult or impossible to replace

Delivery times vary, but most materials will arrive within two to three weeks.

Materials borrowed through the CCM library must be returned at the CCM library.  If late charges apply, patrons will be notified. Photocopies of articles do not need to be returned.

LOAN  PERIODS The length of the loan period for the borrowed material will vary. The loaning library will specify the date that the material is due. This can vary from two weeks to one month.  Materials are usually not renewable.
REQUESTING MATERIALS

Before requesting materials, please check the LRC Catalog and/or the Electronic Databases to be sure the items are not already available in the CCM library. The information you require may also be available through other sources, including another Morris County library.  For assistance with finding alternate sources, please see the reference librarian.

Requests for Interlibrary Loan articles are limited to five per research assignment.  Requests for other materials are not limited. When ordering government documents, please be sure to include the SuDoc number and issuing agency whenever possible.

Requests may be made online by filling out the following forms.

     - Book and Audiovisual Request Form
