REMOTE ACCESS INSTRUCTIONS
Most of the library electronic databases are available remotely for students, faculty, and staff of CCM. These databases are also available to the public in the CCM library only.
LOG IN	Students, faculty, and staff will be prompted to enter a username and password when accessing the library databases. This information is the same as that used to log in to the CCM e-mail system.
REMOVING PREVIOUS PROXY SETTINGS	Past users of the remote access system were required to configure their web browsers with a proxy setting. In order to gain access in the new system, the previous settings must be removed. INTERNET EXPLORER, BROADBAND: Choose the "tools" menu at the top of the page. Click on "internet options" and choose "connections". Click the LAN settings and deselect the checkboxes. INTERNET EXPLORER, DIAL UP: Choose the "tools" menu at the top of the page. Click on "internet options" and choose "connections". Choose your provider in the settings box. Click on "settings" and deselect the checkboxes. MOZILLA FIREFOX: Choose the "tools" menu at the top of the page. Click on "options", choose "advanced" and then the "network" tab. Click on "direct connection to the internet". NETSCAPE: Choose the "tools" menu at the top of the page. Click on "options" and then "general". Choose "connection settings". Click on "direct connection to the internet".
