provide information to frequently asked questions about
computers and technology issues in the Learning Resource
Center. Further information is available by calling

What type of technology assistance is available?
|
The LRC is staffed by a group
of employees knowledgeable in technology issues who are
available during hours of operation. If you have a question,
or need help with a technology issue while you are in the
LRC, simply ask the reference librarian for assistance. If
the librarian is unable to answer your technology question,
he/she will
contact the proper technology staff member for assistance. |

What technology accommodations are available for the
physically disabled?
|
The LRC has computer stations
that are configured for disabled patrons. Wheelchair
accessible stations are available in the computer lab and
the BI room on the lower level, and the reference area on
the upper level. Other technology, including screen
magnifiers and screen reading software is available on
selected machines. Other equipment is available by
appointment which can be made by calling 973-328-5296. |

What hardware is available?
|
Computers, printers, and more
are available for public use in the LRC. For a list of what
is available, please view the
Hardware & Software Availability list. |

What are the hours of computer availability?
|
Computers are available for
use from opening of the building to 10 minutes before
closing time. Please check the
LRC hours
for further information. Computer use is limited to 30
minutes when others are waiting. |

What type of internet access is available?
|
All computers in the LRC have
internet access through Internet Explorer. Please read the
Internet Use Statement.

What is the location of the computers?
|
Public access computers are
available in the computer lab on the lower level of the
library, and in the reference area on the upper level of the
library. |

What software is available on the computers?
|
The computers are loaded with
a variety of computer software for public use including
programs needed for full use of WebCT. For a list of what is
available, please view the
Hardware & Software Availability
list. |

Is wireless access available?
|
Wireless access to the
internet is available throughout the library. Patrons may
bring in their laptop that is equipped with a wireless card
and log on following the
Wireless Access Instructions. |
