You may be eligible for free tuition!!

All high school students who graduate in the top 20 percent of their class will have the opportunity to attend their local community college tuition free through the New Jersey Student Tuition Assistance Reward Scholarship - NJ STARS. This is the first statewide program to guarantee that every high ranking high school student will have access to a college education.

NJ STARS scholarship recipients who plan to transfer to a four-year NJ public college or university may also qualify for a tuition-free education through NJ STARS II.

To qualify for the NJ STARS Scholarship:

  1. You must first apply for all need-based federal (Free Application for Federal Student Aid "FAFSA" completion required) and merit-based state financial aid grants, such as the Pell Grant, the Tuition Aid Grant (TAG), Edward J. Bloustein Distinguished Scholars and the Urban Scholars Program.  After that, NJ STARS will cover the remaining balance of tuition.  If you don’t qualify for those financial aid grants, NJ Stars will completely cover your tuition.
    1. Please indicate the CCM federal school code 007106, when completing the FAFSA.
    2. Click here for application deadlines for completion of the FAFSA to qualify for NJ STARS scholarship.

NOTE: If your request for a chargeback is denied (i.e. intended course or major is offered) by your local county college, you will not be eligible for the NJ STARS scholarship at CCM.
