The County College of Morris (CCM) Continuing Education Program this fall is offering training in Six Sigma Green Belt, along with preparation courses to become a Certified Management Accountant or Business Continuity Professional.
Six Sigma Green Belt is an introductory course covering the enhanced problem-solving skills based on the define, measure, analyze, improve and control model. CCM does not offer green belt certification, but those interested in the course can inquire about the requirements for certification through the American Society for Quality at www.asq.org
. The course takes place Thursdays, October 13 – November 17, from 6:30 – 9:30 p.m. Cost is $295.
The Certified Management Accountant course is a two-part comprehensive preparation program for the Certified Management Accountant (CMA) exam and also an excellent professional development tool for individuals seeking to advance their careers in accounting, finance or business management. Part 1 of the program takes place Saturdays, October 15 – November 12, from 9 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. Cost is $1,395. Part 2 takes place Saturdays, October 22 – December 17, from 8 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Cost is $1,395.
The Business Continuity Management course is for professionals seeking certification as a Business Continuity Professional (BCP) through DRI International. Topics include BCP methodology; developing plan goals and objectives, data gathering, incorporating human resources, catastrophic event response, training programs and public relations. The course takes place Mondays and Thursdays, October 24 – December 15, from 6:30 – 9:30 p.m. Cost is $1,095.
