Mobile Apps Design and Computer Forensics Offered at CCM

New Courses Begin Fall 2014 - Posted 4/30/14
The Information Technologies (IT) department at County College of Morris (CCM) is launching two new courses for the Fall 2014 semester for students interested in learning mobile apps design and computer forensics.

In the Mobile Apps Design course, CMP 291, students will learn how to design and develop Android mobile apps using native source code. They will discover how the design patterns for mobile devices differ from desktop and web applications. They also will create and edit their own app resources including photos, images and animations.
Students who enroll in the Computer Forensics course, CMP 292, will develop the ability to collect and analyze computer data for digital evidence. Upon completion of this course, students will demonstrate various data recovery techniques as the basis for forensic evaluation.

“These courses specifically have been designed to address growing demands and interests in these areas,” noted Professor Bonnie Murphy, chair of the IT department at CCM.
