Ice Hockey Team Heads to Nationals

Titans Crush SUNY-Maritime 8-1 Sunday
The County College of Morris (CCM) Titans ice hockey team defeated SUNY-Maritime 8-1 winning the Metropolitan Collegiate Hockey Conference title Sunday night, February 19.
The team, nationally ranked fourth in the last NJCAA poll, will represent CCM in the NJCAA Frozen Four Tournament this weekend at Nationals in Rochester, NY. The Nationals are being held at Monroe Community College in the Nationals Sports Center.
The Titans have won five straight games and were ranked # 1 before playing at the MCHC.
Viktor Fouchenette, a freshman from Sweden, has played a major role in the success of the team. In his position as goalie, he makes 92 percent of his save opportunities and holds 2.43 in goals-against average.
Mark Zavorin, a sophomore from Russia, was third in the MCHC and currently leads the Titans with 28 goals and 25 assists. Zavorin and Dave McAndrews are ranked 1 and 2 in scoring; Zavorin with 86 and McAndrews with 49 points approximately. A sophomore from Flanders, Kenny Agostino, scored two goals as Yale defeated Harvard 7-1 on Saturday.
