CCM Students Showcase Artwork at Morris Museum

Gaining Hands-On Experience in Off-Campus Environment - Posted 3/31/16
For the fourth year in a row, the Morris Museum will be hosting the County College of Morris (CCM) Portfolio Class Exhibitions providing students enrolled in the Department of Art and Design portfolio courses with the opportunity to showcase their work.

The artwork created by Visual Arts students will be displayed from April 1 to 7 while Design students will showcase their work from April 8 to 14 and Photography students will exhibit their work from April 15 to 21. Receptions will be held on the final day of each exhibit, on the 7, 14 and 21, from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Graphic Design students will host a combined exhibition and reception on April 25 from 5 to 7:30 p.m.

Students in the Department of Art and Design at CCM can take advantage of a choice of portfolio courses such as Portfolio Preparation and Portfolio Project.

“These courses help students critique, improve and select their best work, create written documents to market their creative work to galleries, museums, and prospective clients, and present portfolios to potential transfer colleges and universities,” says Todd L.W. Doney, professor of visual arts.

The museum is located at 6 Normandy Heights Road, Morristown. Visit www.morrismuseum.org/visit/ for hours and admission information. For more information on the Department of Art and Design at CCM visit, http://tinyurl.com/z8ha3ot.
