County College of Morris (CCM) will be hosting an open house for Morris County businesses Thursday, October 25, to introduce them to the programs that are available to develop and train a highly skilled workforce to meet the demands of today’s global economy.
The open house, which is being held in support of Manufacture New Jersey Week, takes place 3 to 5 p.m. on the college’s Randolph campus, 214 Center Grove Road.
Management and faculty from the Engineering Technologies and Manufacturing Workforce Development departments will provide presentations on the degree, certificate and customized training programs that have helped local employers remain competitive. Participants also will receive a review of one specially designed program that is allowing new employees and apprentices to become proficient in working in complex computer integrated manufacturing environments.
CCM’s Mechanical Prototyping Lab, which includes computer numerical control (CNC) training facilities and an Electronics lab will be open for tours following the presentations. Lab coordinators will be on hand to answer questions.
For additional information or to register for the open house, contact Bob Lipka at 973-328-5185 or Beth Rodgers at 973-328-5186.
