The Planetarium at County College of Morris is located in Cohen Hall on a beautiful 218-acre campus in Randolph Township. For nearly 30 years, shows and astronomical programs have been presented to more than 200,000 visitors. The Planetarium includes over 100 optical systems, of which 32 project over 4,200 stars. Education in space science, as a part of students’ general knowledge, is important. Astronomy merges effectively the fundamental physical principles – laws of mechanics, thermodynamics, radiation, optics, and nuclear science. The same sky which has stimulated intellectual curiosity for centuries, can be the springboard to an educational adventure. |
