For many students the County College of Morris is the first step to meeting their career and life goals. CCM students have the opportunity to continue their education and transfer to a four year institution. CCM graduates have transferred to colleges and universities throughout the state and across the nation. Transfer services at CCM are designed to facilitate a smooth transition into a four year college or university.
Individual Appointments
Planning for transfer is important. Students can schedule an individual appointment with a transfer counselor to review the transfer process and discuss admissions to a four-year college or university.
College Visits
College and university representatives from in and out-of-state are invited to visit CCM throughout the academic year. Admission recruiters can be found at a table in the main entrance of the Student Community Center. These representatives can be a great resource to discovering more transfer opportunities. They are prepared to discuss entrance requirements, available majors, and campus information.
Instant Decision Days
Each semester Instant Decision Days are scheduled with admissions representatives from the most popular colleges that enroll the largest number of CCM graduates. Currently, Ramapo College and William Patterson University participate in the on-site admissions program. Interested students must meet with a transfer counselor to schedule the on-site appointment. During the fifteen minute interview the student can be admitted, receive a verbal transcript evaluation, and ask the admissions representative any questions. Students should come to their on-site appointment with their application completed and in-hand. Student transcripts will be provided by the Counseling Office. CCM students who take advantage of the on-site program will have the application fee waived, and will benefit from a one-on-one interaction with the admissions representative.
Transfer Fair
During the spring semester all New Jersey senior institutions are invited to share in a college fair sponsored by Counseling Services. The event provides students with transfer information on the many admission opportunities and academic majors available at New Jersey colleges. Students can gain insight to each institution by speaking with the admissions representatives. They also have the opportunity to make arrangements to visit a campus of interest, take a tour, and meet faculty in their prospective major.
