 Job Club Discussion Groups

The Job Club is a discussion group, and is open to all women who are seeking employment. The Job Club meetings are held twice a month on Fridays from 10:00 - 11:30 a.m. The schedule and topics are listed on the Women's Center calendar. The meetings are free, but you must call to register (973-328-5025).

Computer Training

We offer a variety of computer workshops in group settings. These low-key, high-interest classes can jumpstart your computer skills, and enhance your employability. Classes are held at various sites around Morris County in 3-hour sessions. Topics include Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, and Quicken, in addition to the Internet and Desktop Publishing. Check the Women's Center calendar for dates and times.

We also offer one-on-one computer assistance with a volunteer. The volunteer wil use a variety of print and online tutorials during your session.

Family Law Legal Clinics & Workshops

Family Law Legal Clinic
The family law legal clinic offers you a half hour private consultation with a volunteer attorney regarding family law issues. The attorneys can help you navigate the legal system, and what options are open to you. The clinics are offered three times a month on Wednesday evenings. Sessions are offered with maximum confidentiality and are conducted by attorneys who specialize in family law.

Appointments are necessary, and can be made by calling 973-328-5025.

Family Law Workshops
Navigating the legal system can be intimidating and confusing. It is hoped that the information gathered by the workshop participants will make the process less painful.

Family Law Workshops help with topics that include the divorce process, enforcement of child support, tips on completing legal forms (such as the case information statement), mediation, post matrimonial relief, alimony, best use of an attorney's services and new legal mandates.

There are seven sessions, each dealing with specific areas of family law. The two hour, small group workshops are conducted by attorneys who specialize in family law, and each session is a self contained unit so you can attend one or all six.

The workshops are held from 7-9 PM, usually on a Tuesday evening. These workshops are FREE, but pre-registration for each segment is required. Call 973-328-5025 or send email to womenscenter@ccm.edu for more information.  The next family law workshop series will run on Tuesday evenings July 7, 14, and 21, 2009.  Please pre-register for each seminar segment you wish to attend. Workshop topics and dates are listed on the Women's Center calendar.
