Cooperative Education / Internship Program

    The Cooperative Education and Internship Program combines academic studies with practical, on-the-job experience enabling students from a variety of majors to apply theories and skills learned in the classroom to real work situations.  For employers, it provides numerous cost-saving and staffing benefits, as well the opportunity to support their communities and influence the educational process.   
     
    A cooperative education student works 300 hours in a paid position.  See majors offering co-op. 
    An intern is unpaid and works a total of 150 hours during the semester.  See majors offering internships.
     
    All placements are concurrent with academic semesters.

    The Cooperative Education Program  

    An employer offers a co-op student a minimum 300 hours of work over one semester, a salary consistent with the company's practices and policies, and provides a supervisor to act as a liaison between the employer and the college faculty advisor.

     The Internship Program:

    An employer offers a intern a minimum 150 unpaid hours of work over one semester, and provides a supervisor to act as a liaison between the employer and the college faculty advisor.

    To hire a co-op or internship student:
