Attending class is just part of what going to college is all about. College is the time for you to meet new people, to explore your interests and, yes, to have fun. At the County College of Morris you have endless opportunities to do what interests you. There's a lot happening on our campus - events, excursions, meetings, performances, special programs, films - just about every day.

So . . . how do you want to get involved? Sharing your dramatic, singing or comedic skills at one of our "open mic" nights? Serving as a student representative on one of CCM’s college committees? Playing on one of our athletic teams? Displaying your art in our gallery? Acting in a "Shakespeare and Company" production in the theatre? There is never a shortage of things to do here at CCM.

At CCM, we view every activity as an opportunity for you to learn - with fun and enthusiasm!

What do YOU want to do? Serve on CCM's Student Government or perhaps help out as a New Student Orientation Leader? Explore different cities and cultures with the International Students Club? Be an editor of the student newspaper? Perform with the college choir, chorale, orchestra or jazz ensemble? Or perhaps go a bus excursion to the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York  City with the CCM Art Club?

We believe that all of these activities are an integral part of your total educational experience at the County College of Morris. When transferring to a four-year college, the activities in which you take part are almost as important as your grades. The key to a successful college career is to get involved and to take advantage of all that CCM offers.

CCM has many diverse  student clubs are on campus. These include co-curricular clubs, honor societies, special interest clubs, religious organizations, recreational clubs, service organizations, and governance and planning organizations. Take your pick of the more than 45 currently active student organizations, plus community service opportunities, and activities you won't want to miss such as the Welcome Back Bash and the annual Spring Picnic.

CCM's student media organizations include our two award-winning student publications: the newspaper, The Youngtown Edition and the graphic arts and literary magazine, The Promethean.

County College of Morris fields ten intercollegiate varsity teams and has an intramural sports program, providing a recreational sports program tailored to the needs of our diverse student body.

In the area of performing arts, you have the opportunity to participate in a strong program with high-quality productions. You can become involved in musical theatre, drama productions and our acclaimed CCM Dance Theatre troupe.

“College Activity Hours” at CCM are every Tuesday and Thursday from 12:30 pm – 1:45 pm. These are blocks of time reserved primarily for student enrichment activities. Be sure to take advantage of the concerts, speakers, picnics, student organization meetings, lectures, cultural celebrations and other fun events planned during the College Activity Hours each week. Campus happenings are posted on the bulletin boards throughout campus, as well as on CCM’s Student Life Upcoming Events web page and CCM's Facebook page.

By getting actively involved in CCM's vibrant campus life program, you can make your collegiate experience into anything you want it to be.

Your participation in activities on campus will prove to be a valuable learning experience, and it’s a great way to meet people. Life at CCM outside the classroom is as interesting and invigorating as you make it.

So, what are you waiting for?
