Counseling Services
These services are provided to
students with emotional and physical disabilities. Classroom
assistants and adaptive equipment for the physically and emotionally
handicapped can be obtained from this office to aid the student
in the pursuit of his/her studies at CCM. Such adaptive equipment
as:
- Trackballs
- Anti-Glare Screens
- Speech Recognition Software
- Screen Magnification Software
- JAWS for Windows NT
- JAWS 3.5
- Headset
- Hearing Helper System
- Hearing Aid Coupler
is available. Students who require extended time for test
taking can take advantage of the testing facilities of the
Technology Support Center through the auspices of Counseling
Services.

Horizons
A program of support services for students with learning
disabilities, is a service of CASE (Center for Academic Support
and Enrichment). Areas of support include academic accommodations,
adapted testing, assistive technology, and learning strategies.

Health Services
A full time nurse is on duty to provide health care. Literature
on the various health problems can be obtained and appropriate
referrals are made for faculty, staff, and students.

Office of Career Services and Cooperative Education
Career opportunities and assistance on various work-study
assignments for the disabled student are available. Job opportunities
are listed here. Resume building and how to prepare for the
initial job interview are among the topics covered by counselors
in Career Services.

Special Accommodations
Students with disabilities who need reasonable accommodations
for a class are encouraged to meet with faculty and the
appropriate disability service provider on campus as soon as
