County College of Morris (CCM) will host the Morris County Regional College Fair from noon to 3 p.m., Sunday, September 21. Representatives from more than 200 colleges and universities from across New Jersey, Pennsylvania, New England, Virginia and other states will participate.

The fair takes place in the Student Community Center and the Health and Physical Education building on CCM’s Randolph Campus, 214 Center Grove Road.

This year, Dr. Edward J. Yaw, president of CCM, will hold a session on “The Role of Community Colleges” at 12:30 and 1:45 p.m. in Sheffield Hall, Room 100. In that session, Yaw will review the significant savings families can achieve by starting a higher education at a community college and how transfer agreements can provide a seamless process for enrolling in a four-year institution after graduating with an associate degree.

Three other sessions also will be presented at 12:30 and 1:45 p.m.

  • “The Fundamentals of College Admissions,” Marissa Pelosi, counselor, Morris County School of Technology, Cohen Hall, Room 124
  • “The Fundamentals of Financial Aid,” Michael Corso, director of financial aid, William Paterson University, Student Community Center, Dragonetti Auditorium
  • “Advice for the College-Bound Student Athlete,” Ann Clifton, athletic director, Governor Livingston High School

College representatives also will be on site to answer questions and identify educational resources.

The fair is an annual event that draws more than 5,000 students and parents. It is sponsored by the New Jersey Association for College Admission Counseling.
