Assemblyman’s Office to Feature CCM Students’ Watercolor Paintings

Anthony Bucco Continues to Support Students with Opening Reception – Posted 9/23/14

Assemblyman Anthony Bucco (25th district Morris County) continues to support the creative talent of students at County College of Morris (CCM) by exhibiting their artwork at his Randolph office.

To celebrate the latest exhibit, a public reception will be held on Wednesday, October 1, from 6 – 7 p.m. in Bucco’s district office at 1040 Route 10 West, Suite 104 in Randolph.

For the exhibit, Todd Doney, professor of fine arts at CCM, had his watercolor class create paintings representing scenes from Morris County.

The works of six students were selected to be displayed in the reception area of Bucco’s office. Those students are Ashley Garcia, of Flanders; Smriti Hukku, of Randolph; Sanae Miyawaki, of Dover; Kathryn Testa, of Glen Ridge; Run Wang, of Morris Plains; and Stephen Zechmeister, of Kinnelon.

Also on display in the assemblyman’s office is a watercolor painting by Doney and photos taken by Keith Smith, dean of Liberal Arts at CCM.

The exhibition, which will be on display through November, is the result of a partnership Bucco established with the Visual Arts department at CCM to display student artwork representing the county in his office. This is the fourth set of CCM student artwork that is being displayed in his office.
