CCM to Hold Wounded Warrior Project Fundraiser Run and Walk

Event, Sponsored by Multiple Student Groups, Takes Place on November 9 – Posted 10/15/14

Multiple student groups at County College of Morris (CCM) are coming together to host a 5K and walk event to benefit the Wounded Warrior Project.

The Office of Counseling and Student Success, along with CCM student organizations Phi Theta Kappa, Student Government Association and Student Ambassadors are holding the Veterans Day 5K Run and 1 Mile Walk on Sunday, November 9, at CCM’s Randolph campus at 214 Center Grove Road. On-site registration will take place 7:30 – 8:45 a.m., with a 9 a.m. race start time. The event takes place rain or shine.

Those who pre-register now through Friday, October 31, will save $5 on the $25 registration fee. Kids 12 years old and younger will be able to register for $10. Registration includes a race bib, T-shirt, food and gifts. Runners and walkers are encouraged to bring the entire family, but to please leave their pets at home.
Those who participate can look forward to a fun-filled event complete with music, all for a great cause. Awards will be given to the top three male and female runners.

The Wounded Warrior Project has helped tens of thousands of wounded service members and their families successfully return to civilian life. The group works to help them by offering programs structured to engage, nurture mind and body, and encourage economic empowerment.

Pre-registration can be completed by going to http://register.compuscore.com/ and clicking on the event listing. Those who would like to donate but are not able to participate in the run/walk can do so at https://support.woundedwarriorproject.org/group-fundraising/ccm/.
