Recognized for Their Academic Achievements and Success – Posted 4/10/15
EOF campus programs across the state are invited each year to identify graduating EOF students who have demonstrated exceptional achievement during their college careers.
The CCM students and the awards they received are Michael Kelly, of Cedar Knolls, Tuyen Nguyen, of Rockaway, Amanda Testa, of Parsippany, Outstanding Academic Achievement; Michele Franchi, of Mt. Arlington, and Marco Garcia, of Dover, Academic Achievement; and Henry Rincon, of Budd Lake, Outstanding Achievement.
Students who graduated during the Summer and Fall 2014 semesters or will be eligible to graduate at the conclusion of the Spring 2015 Semester and have a cumulative GPA of 3.20 or higher are eligible for one of three academic achievement awards. One graduate per school also may be nominated for an Outstanding Achievement Award, which is based on the student’s involvement and overall commitment to the EOF program.
“Many EOF students deal with a variety of challenges in and out of the classroom,” said Pam Marcenaro, director of the EOF program at CCM. “Yet, I’m proud to note that our EOF students do not let those challenges deter them from working hard, staying the course and succeeding. These students know that a combination of hard work, support from our EOF program and discipline pay in dividends and show results. These are scholars who truly deserve the recognition.”
