Latest Graduate Survey Once Again Reinforces the Quality of a CCM Education
97 Percent Rate Their Overall Experience Good to Excellent – Posted 4/26/16
The latest survey of graduates from County College of Morris (CCM) once again shows that the vast majority of those who earn a degree from the college rate their experience and preparation as good to excellent.
The Office of Career Services and Cooperative Education at CCM has conducted annual surveys of the college’s graduates one year after graduation for the past 44 years. Its latest survey of graduates from the Class of 2014 found 97 percent rated their overall CCM experience as good to excellent ( 74 percent excellent, 23 percent good). A total of 62 percent of graduates, or 842 former students, completed the survey.
A total of 97 percent also rated their preparation at CCM for further education either good or excellent. Contributing to that success is a faculty that brings experience and expertise to the classroom. A total of 79 percent of respondents had transferred to either a public or private New Jersey institution or an out-of-state institution to earn their bachelor’s degree. The list of schools graduates enrolled at includes Penn State University, American University, the University of Pennsylvania, Stevens Institute of Technology, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Ohio State University and The College of New Jersey.
Graduates were also highly satisfied with their preparation for the workforce with 97 percent of respondents rating their work preparation as excellent or good as a result of their time at CCM. Some of the careers CCM graduates went on to obtain include account executive at Yelp!, private investigator, event operation manager for the New York Red Bulls and mechanical engineer at Picatinny Arsenal. Since earning their degree, 62 percent of the graduates surveyed are already employed in the fields they studied at CCM.
