Space Is Limited and Preregistration Is Required – Posted 5/17/16

The Foundation Center Funding Information Network at the County College of Morris (CCM) library will be offering two free workshops on finding grants on Friday, June 3.

The first workshop, which takes place in the morning, is for nonprofit organizations interested in exploring grant funding. The second workshop, which takes place in the afternoon, is for individuals seeking scholarships and fellowships.

The “Guide to Online Grantseeker Resources: Introduction to Finding Grants” workshop for nonprofit organizations takes place from 10 a.m. to noon. In this introductory workshop, participants will learn the 10 most important things they need to know about finding grants. They also will have the opportunity to practice navigating the Foundation Center’s Grantspace page and searching the Foundation Directory Online.

The “Searching the Foundation Center Grants to Individuals” workshop takes place from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. The center’s database contains foundation and public charity programs that fund students, artists, writers, filmmakers, musicians, researchers and other individual grantseekers.

Both workshops take place in the Sherman H. Masten Learning Resource Center, Room 205, on CCM’s Randolph campus, 214 Center Grove Road.

The CCM library is the only organization in northwestern New Jersey to participate in the Foundation Center’s Funding Information Network. Network partners provide a suite of resources including the most comprehensive database on U.S. and, increasingly, global grantmakers and their grants.

While both workshops are free, preregistration is required as seating for these programs is limited. Please register before May 31 by calling 973-328-5300.
