Area employers are encouraged to partner with the Center for Business and Technology (CBT) at County College of Morris (CCM) – the state’s ongoing leader in grant-funded training for updating employees’ skills for business success..
Now and running through October, CBT is offering results-oriented computer, communications and management skills classes on CCM’s Randolph campus, 214 Center Grove Road. Onsite training also is available..
New class topics this year include Introduction to Six Sigma, Root Cause Analysis, Project Management Fundamentals, Understanding Personality Styles for Enhanced Workplace Communications, Strategies for Increasing Team Performance, Introduction to Grant Writing, Finance for the Non-Finance Professional, Occupational Spanish to Improve Workplace Communications, and One Note..
Additional popular communications and management skills training includes First-Time Supervisor Essentials, Critical Thinking Skills, Expert Problem Solving, Communicating to Improve Business Success, Email Writing/Best Practices, Managing Multiple Priorities under Pressure, Tools for Management Success, and Achieving Customer Service Excellence..
Computer classes include basic to advanced Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Total Workday Control Using Outlook. Expanded offerings cover specialized function classes for Excel, Access and One Note..
Most classes are eight-hours long, running from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and are scheduled on weekdays. Employees can register for as many classes as their employers deem necessary..
Morris County area employers continue to receive more training opportunities and program benefits than any other section of the state as a result of the work of CCM’s CBT.
