Noncredit Continuing Education Information Sessions at CCM for Spring 2017

Brochure Now Available on the College Website – 12/22/16

County College of Morris (CCM) will offer free information sessions on several of its most popular noncredit continuing education programs on Thursday evening, January 5.

The information sessions take place from 6:30 – 8 p.m. in Cohen Hall on CCM’s Randolph campus, 214 Center Grove Road. Please follow signage for specific room numbers.

Classes begin as early as January 16 and registration is ongoing. Details on this spring’s programs can be found in the Continuing Education brochure. Given that many classes fill quickly, early registration is recommended and can be accomplished by following the online registration instructions found on page 51 in the brochure.

There will be individual information sessions for 11 different noncredit programs, covering careers in health care, nonprofit leadership, project and supply chain management and more. Admissions counselors also will be on hand to assist those interested in pursuing a for-credit degree. A complete list of the sessions can be found on the back cover of the Continuing Education brochure.

New this spring, CCM is offering its programs for professional chefs and those who want to pursue a career as a chef. People interested in operating a restaurant can complete the ManageFirst Professional (MFP) credential approved by the National Restaurant Association. Earn a professional certification for completing any one of five courses or complete all five and demonstrate that you possess the requisite knowledge to run a restaurant.

For those interested in teaching, please be aware that effective September 1 the Alternate Route to Teaching process will be dramatically changing. Among other changes, the program will increase from a 224-hour program in 12 – 18 months to 400 hours over two years. To learn more about the upcoming changes, attend the information session on Careers in Teaching.
